Sean Brearcliffe was elected
President of the Tucson Chapter of the Federal Bar Association
at its annual meeting on May 15, 2008. |
Sean will
begin his term of the 140 member Chapter on July 1, 2008 and serve
until June 30, 2009. The Tucson Chapter was begun in 1996. The
Tucson Chapter, now known officially as the William D. Browning
Tucson Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, in honor of the late
Federal Judge Bill Browning, is dedicated to the advancement of the
science of jurisprudence and to promoting the welfare, interests,
education, and professional development of all attorneys involved in
federal law, and serves Southern Arizona. Its members run the gamut
of federal practice: attorneys practicing in small to large legal
firms, attorneys in corporations and federal agencies, and members
of the judiciary. The Tucson Chapter is the catalyst for
communication between the Southern Arizona federal bar and the
bench, as well as the private and public sectors. Michael Rusing of
Rusing & Lopez preceded Sean Brearcliffe as President, having been
President of the Tucson Chapter from 1999-2000.
